Welcome to Skywalker Racing and Motorsports

SKYWALKER RACING is one of the premier professional quarter mile drag boat racing teams. We have been in competition since 2004. From 2004 to 2007 we competed in the International Hot Boat Association ("IHBA"), the Southern Drag Boat Association ("SDBA") and the St. Louis Drag Boat Association ("SLDBA"). For 2008 we will compete in those associations again along with the newly formed United Drag Boat Association ("UDBA").

Since 2004 we have placed within the top four boats in the SLDBA each year and in 2006 we competed in all of Division 2 and 3 of the IHBA and won runner-up honors in Division 3 of the IHBA. In 2007 we competed in all of the SDBA, SLDBA and IHBA races, except where conflicts existed and at the end of the season, with all races completed except the World finals, which will be held in Phoenix, AZ, November 15-18, 2007, our Pro Mod drag boat has had a very successful year.

We finished in Second Place in the Southern Drag boat Association, which had 20 competing boats ; third in the St. Louis Drag Boat Association, which had 13 competing boats; and currently we are in first place in Division 3 of the International Hot Association and in second place in Division 2 of the International Hot Boat Association, in which we were forced to skip one race due to a conflict with an SLDBA race. Final Placement in these last 2 divisions will be decided at the World Finals November 15-17. This year, we competed in 14 races, which is more than any other Pro Mod Quarter Mile Drag Boat team.

Our 2000 Kaase hydroplane Pro Mod drag boat named "SKYWALKER" is unique in that it is the only boat racing in any of the circuits we race in that is powered by a supercharged Ford Hemi Motor, which produces in excess of 2000 horsepower. Our team consists: of Joe Coleman, majority owner/manager; Mike Murray, crew chief, chief mechanic and transportation manager; Brutus Utter, driver of SKYWALKER in his fourth year of driving; Larry Clark, owner/driver of "ONE XTREME RIDE" our 1972 Hondo hydroplane open boat competing in the Pro Eliminator class in 2008; and Lacey Cox, in 2007 our GO FAST representative and the manager of T shirt sales for the team.

Our Pro Mod Drag Boat and for the 2008 season our Pro Eliminator Drag Boat together with a Geo Tracker pull car, a four wheeler to pull the Pro Eliminator Boat and our Golf Cart are all transported in our custom tractor-trailer, which also has a full living quarters in the front of it. Our trailer and the boats display our Sponsor's advertising on them, which provides wide exposure to our Sponsor's due to the high profile of our team and the amount of miles we travel.
